February 8, 2010
- The Regular
Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor
Marion on February 8, 2010 at 7:30pm at the Saline Town Hall,
5731 Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.
- Members
present: Supervisor Marion, Clerk Marion, Treasurer Gordon, Trustee
R. Marion & Trustee R. Prehn. Four other citizens were present.
- Mr. R. Prehn
led the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Mr. R. Marion
moved, supported by Mr. R. Prehn that the agenda be approved as
presented.
- Mr. R. Marion
moved, supported by Mr. R. Prehn, that the consent agenda be approved
as presented.
- Approve
minutes from January 11 regular meeting.
- Receive
Clerk's budget, Financial Report.
- Approve
Accounts Payable in the amount of $5,764.88.
- Approve
4th quarter pay for February in the amount $5,039.50.
- Approve
current salary for the Fiscal Year of 2010-2011 to remain
the same for the Saline Township Board.
- March
regular meeting will be held at 7:00pm to include approval
fro the final budget.
- Current
lawn service will remain the same for 2010.
- Citizens
were offered a chance to address the Board regarding items not
already on the agenda. No citizen's comments.
- Supervisor's
Report:
- Fred
Lucas - Supervisor Jim Marion, Chuck Rankin and Robert Marion
meat with Mr. Lucas to discuss Dakota Oil and the current
Master Plan. Leases for Dakota Oil should be signed in the
near future by the Township Board. Current zoning ordinances
to be discussed with possible changes or additions to be added.
- WCRC
- Possible state funding for two bridges on Austin Road. To
attend March meeting.
- Budget
meeting - To be held on March 8.
- Board
of Review meets March 8th from 3-9 and March 9 from 9-3.
- Trustees
Report - Current officers to remain the same. State Police report
next month. Master Plan should be reviewed by all board members.
- Zoning/Building
Administrator - Court date being scheduled for homeowner on Mooreville
Road in regards to the current condition of the property. Possible
that the previous injunction placed on the property is still infect.
Mr. R Marion and Mr. R. Prehn to draft a letter to some township
residences with regards to their falling barns. There is no township
ordinance on this issue the letter will only be to inform the
residences of some options.
- Fireboard
Report - Adopted budget.
- Township
Hall Manager Report - Exit signs are in working order. Dumpster
outside was moved so that residences could drive around it.
- Board Member
Comments - Judy Gordon reported that bank statements had not been
received yet; board will get copies that the reconciled paper
work at the March meeting.
- The meeting
adjourned at 8:05 pm.
