August 10, 2009
- The Regular
Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor
Marion on August 10, 2009 at 7:30pm at the Saline Town Hall, 5731
Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.
- Members
present: Supervisor Marion, Clerk Marion, Treasurer Gordon, Trustee
R. Marion. Trustee R. Prehn was absent. Eighteen other citizens
were present.
- Mrs. Marion
led the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Mr. Robert
Marion moved, supported by Mrs. Judy Gordon that the agenda approved
with the following changes. (7b) August 20th Drain Commission
Meeting on the Hammond Branch of Weinette Drain District; (7c)
State Police.
- Mr. Robert
Marion moved, supported by Mrs. Judy Gordon that the consent agenda
be approved as presented.
- Approve
minutes from July 13 regular meeting.
- Receive
Clerk's budget, Financial Report.
- Approve
Accounts Payable in the amount of $10,667.32.
- Citizens
were offered a chance to address the Board regarding items not
already on the agenda. Dan Cabage updates the Township on the
Crown Castle Cell Tower; at this point the earth work is done
and the permit is good through the end of September. DTE and Bell
Cable to visit the site the week of August 18th.
- Supervisor
Marion commented on the following:
- WCPARC
- Township has no trails currently, up to the individual owners.
- August
20th Drain Commission Meeting on the Hammond Branch of Weinette
Drain District to be held at the Saline Township Hall at 7:00pm.
- State
Police will be asked to attend the September 14th meeting.
- Washtenaw
County Road Commission - The Saline Township Road Committee along
with WCRC have chosen several roads throughout the township in
which will be spot fixed over the next several week. A list of
these roads has been placed on the Townships web site. A motion
was made by Robert Marion and supported by Kelly Marion to contract
WCRC to complete said work. Current budget for work is set at
$85,000.
- No Trustee
report.
- Zoning/Building
Administrator reported that the boulders at Oak Hill are still
there, Township may remove them. A complaint was made due to dirt
bikes in Oak Park.
- Fireboard
Report - City of Saline is considering purchasing a new tanker
for $450,000.
- Township
Hall Manager Report - No report.
- Board Member
Comments - Judy Gordon commented that the treasures office will
be closed August 16th thru August 26th.
- The meeting
adjourned at 8:40 pm
