  1. The Regular Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Marion on July 14, 2008 at 7:30pm at the Saline Town Hall, 5731 Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.

  2. Members present: Supervisor Marion, Clerk Baldus, Treasurer Gordon, Trustee R. Marion. Absent Bohnett. Six other citizens were present.

  3. Mrs. Baldus led the Pledge of Allegiance.

  4. Mr. R. Marion moved, supported by Mrs. Gordon that the agenda approved as presented. Ayes: 4. Nays: 0. Motion carried.

  5. Mrs. Baldus moved, supported by Mrs. Gordon, that the consent agenda be approved as presented.
    1. Approve minutes from June 9 regular meeting.
    2. Receive Clerk's budget, Financial Report.
    3. Approve Accounts Payable in the amount of $5,129.77.
    4. Approve 2nd qtr Saline Fire Dept Operating/Capital $34,874.79.

  6. Citizens were offered a chance to address the Board regarding items not already on the agenda. Mr. Frank Parkinson, August primary candidate introduced himself along with some personal information and campaigning issues.

  7. Supervisor Marion commented on the following:
    1. Planning Commission is in discussion and potentially amending the ordinances regarding conditional use permits.
    2. Feldkamp Bridge may receive a temporary fix to accommodate vehicles only, but that will most likely occur in the fall of 2008.
    3. Township will have a 425 meeting with the City of Saline along with their Planning Commission members.

  8. No Trustee report.

  9. Zoning/Building Administrator reported on a small shed issue.

  10. No Fireboard report.

  11. Township Engineer, Dan Cabage, briefly reported on the old gravel pit inspection bills.

  12. Citizens' comments included Mr. Marion would like to have Board members promote the millage issue on the August Primary election.
