- The Regular
Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor
Marion on June 8, 2009 at 7:30pm at the Saline Town Hall, 5731
Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.
- Members
present: Supervisor Marion, Clerk Marion, Treasurer Gordon, Trustee's
R. Marion & R. Prehn. Four other citizens were present.
- Mr. R. Prehn
led the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Mr. R. Prehn
moved, supported by Mr. R. Marion that the agenda be approved
as presented.
- Mr. R. Prehn
moved, supported by Mrs. Gordon, that the consent agenda be approved
as presented.
- Approved
minutes from May 11 regular meeting.
- Received
Clerk's budget, Financial Report.
- Approved
Accounts Payable in the amount of $9,967.06.
- Approved
2nd qtr Payroll Payable $16,091.98.
- Citizens
were offerer a chance to address the Board regarding items not
already on the agenda. No comments.
- Supervisor
Marion commented on the following:
- Comcast
- Update on those who have it. Additional information on Comcast
located at Saline Township Hall.
- WCRC
- Two bridges on Austin Road in need of repair. Bridges have
been added with the Feldkamp Bridge for funding. Should hear
something by fall. Saline Township looking into having the
Manchester Yard service the township.
- Jessica
Ping - Updated the board on the current economical situation with
Washtenaw County and their current budget. Further information
to follow on the Urban County Alliance Program.
- Mike Callagri
- Meeting with WCRC on June 11 to discuss Arkona Road and all
other
roads and ditches located in Saline Township. The roads have been
placed in order of priority; the committee has agreement on this
order.
- State Police
- did not attend.
- Trustees
Report - May need to replace two members on the Planning Commission
in the near future. Dan Cabage, Township Engineer feels there
needs to be a sign at each gravel pit warning of the danger. Township
looking into this matter. Two residents will be going in front
of the Planning Commission for Special Use Permits. Carl Girbach
for an Antique Car Restoration Business and Kim & Kurt Rose
for a haunted barn.
- Zoning/Building
Administrator - no report.
- Fireboard
Report - Saline Fire Department looking into purchasing a new
tanker,
current one is 20 years old.
- Township
Hall Report - Cleaning up the outside and purchasing some white
stone.
- Board Member
Comments - Judy Gordon - personal property tax has been repaid
to residents.
