Special Meeting
March 25, 2009
- The Special
Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor
Marion on March 25, 2009 at 7:00pm at the Saline Town Hall, 5731
Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.
- Members present:
Supervisor J. Marion, Clerk K. Marion, Treasure J. Gordon, Trustee
R. Marion and Trustee R. Prehn. 6 other citizens were present.
- Mr. R. Prehn
led the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Mr. R. Prehn
moved, supported by Mrs. J. Gordon that the agenda approved with
the following changes: (6) Public comments; (8) NAPP; (10) Lawn
Care Service; (11) Amend 2008-2009 Final Budget.
- Mr. R. Marion
moved, supported by Mr. R. Prehn, that the consent agenda be approved
as revised.
- Approved
Accounts Payable in the amount of $6,515.25.
- Citizens
were offered a chance to address the Board regarding items not
already on the agenda. 2 citizens commented. Neil Bohnett on road
millage dollars. Township will know more after the seasonal road
limits are lifted by Washtenaw County. Mary Gumtow - are there
additional funds from the state other than the funds that are
being asked for on the Feldkamp Bridge? Board is not a wear of
any however will follow up at the April 13th meeting where Washtenaw
County Road Commission will be attending.
- SGRA - Saline
Township decided that they already support SGRA's cause/efforts
therefore no new vote was needed from the township on the current
issue of informing Saline Township residents on how they can place
a filter buffer on their property along the Saline River if they
so choose. SGRA will report to the township on a quarterly base
or as needed on current issues.
- NAPP - may
rent town hall to inform residents of the Natural Area Protection
Program.
- Tires for
Spring Clean Up - a motion was made by Judy Gordon and supported
by Robert Marion that there would be a limit of tires taken at
the Spring Clean Up; after that limit there will be a charge.
A copy of this list will be placed on the Saline Township Hall
door.

A roll call vote (Jim Marion, Judy Gordon, Robert Prehn, Robert
Marion and Kelly Marion) was taken to approve the 2009-2010 Budget
with the above line item changes.

- Lawn Care
Service -Elite Yard Service to provide lawn service to Saline
Township through 2010.
- The meeting
adjourned at 8:10 pm.
