The Settlement Day Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor James Marion on March 21, 2008 at 9:46am at the Saline Township Clerks office at 6104 Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.
Members present: Supervisor Marion, Clerk Baldus, Treasurer Gordon, Trustees Bohnett and R. Marion.
Mrs. Baldus moved, supported by Mr. Bohnett to postpone payment of bills as presented until next week. Additional bills are expected to come in. Another settlement day meeting has been set for March 27, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at Clerks house. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Mr. R. Marion moved, supported by Mr. Bohnett, to accept Bluewater as maintenance contractor for the Township Hall; at the prior year rate of $21.00 per hour rate. Lawn care from Elite Yard Services expires December 31, 2009. Their bid will stay at seven payments of $500. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Mrs. Gordon moved, supported by Mr. J Marion, to make adjustments and finalize 2007-2008 budgets for auditors. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Group discussed and prepared the 2008-2009 proposed budgets. Mr. R. Marion moved, supported by Mr. Bohnett to postpone approval of the proposed budget for 2008-2009 until next weeks meeting. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Mr. R. Marion moved, supported by Mrs. Gordon, to accept the 2008-2009 operating and capital budgets of the Saline Area Fire Department. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried.
