New Business:

  1. Issues from the Township Board.
    1. Haeussler/Peters Building, has met with City of Saline and Supervisor Marion. May be interested in a 425 agreement. Will schedule discussion at February Planning Commission meeting (February 15, 2006)
    2. Roads are not good. Bohnett will contact county road commission.
    3. Levy tax for legal fees? One mil would equal approximately $72,000. Pennington has not yet sent reports, but is scheduled to meet with Supervisor Marion next week.
    4. The Township Board will obtain bids for standing bins to be used for recycling.

  2. Bohnett related an article he had read regarding wind power machines. Discussion. The Township should look into whether an ordinance is needed. Bohnett will research.

Old Business:

  1. Biltmore. As discussed (above) we are still waiting for reports from Don Pennington. Once received, a special meeting may be needed.

  2. Dan Cabage reported on excavations/pits. There are previous issues still outstanding on both the Marion and Niethammer pits. Should have a report by the February Planning Commission meeting.

  3. Austin Commons II. There are a couple of issues in the plan that still need to be resolved.

Comment:

The Township Board passed a resolution at their January 9, 2006 meeting that the Township will not be responsible for well failures (Department of Environmental Quality requested the resolution) in the Austin Commons II development.

The Marion Pit, if sold, the new owners assume all responsibility for all requirements (i.e., reclamation, limits, etc.).
