Regular Meeting, August 16, 2006

Members Absent:

Jim Marion (Supervisor), Robert Marion (Twp. Trustee), J. Gordan,
Dan Cabage, approximately 15 others
Meeting
was called to order by Chairman Zahn at 7:35 pm.
Roll was taken; six members present; quorum established.
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Girbach.
Approval
of Minutes, July 12, 2006: motion by Bohnett, supported by Rankin;
vote unanimous to approve.
Approval of Agenda, August 16, 2006: motion by Bohnett,
supported by Leinback; vote unanimous to approve.
Announcements:
Property taxes are due September 14, 4:00 pm. Farmers need to send
letter for deferral.
Public Comments:
None.
New Business:
- Board
Issues
- PDR resolution
is tabled until next year.
- Dan Cabage
discussed the walk-through of Austin Commons II development.
- Board
in closed session met with attorney Fred Lucas, support ordinance.
- Bohnett,
Don Pennington and Rodney Nanney discussed wind power, currently
in the news.
Old Business:
- Peters Building
project update. Nothing has been received.
Public
Comments:
None.
Presentation
by Don Pennington and Rodney Nanney, re: Plan updates.
- Sample wastewater
systems ordinance, intended to rural residential or small developments.
They ask that the Planning Commission review this information.
- Document
"Land Use Table". Sample/draft set-up. Districts or
uses in blue are suggested new. Public Services has to do with
State regulations. Suggested new districts, where will they come
from? Will overlap between ordinance and map update.
- Dimensional
Standards. Again, combined existing ordinance into one table.
State has new techniques for lot splitting. Will be discussed
at August 24 meeting.
- Housekeeping.
Use this form if there is something we need to review.
- Outline of
schedule. Dates will be filled in as we progress. Stay with Thursdays
for the work sessions for right now.
Robert Marion mentioned that the PDR has been tabled for the moment.
Language will be put into the plan that the County requires, when
determined
Bohnett moved
for adjournment; Girbach support; meeting adjourned, 8:15 p.m. The
next regular meeting will be on September 13, 2006, at 7:30 p.m.
at the Township hall. Work session is scheduled for August 24, 2006,
7:30 p.m.
