Announcements:
Keith Girbach's seat on Planning Commission needs to be filled. If anyone is interested send a letter to the Board. Girbach's term expires in December, 2007. The deadline for submitting letters of interest is June 11, 2007. The appointment will be decided at the June 11 Board meeting.

Supervisor Marion has talked to the County road commission. Brine for the roads has been lined up; any funds left over will go to next year for maintenance to Macon Road.

Comcast wants a new contract with the township. The Board will have the attorney review the new contract. Comcast would like to bring in all of the township.

Preferred trash company. Would like to have only one trash truck company in the township.

Master participation agreement with Wireless Washtenaw. Would have township covered by early 2008. May need to put up a couple of towers.

Public Comments:
Is there anything that individuals can do for the Girbach family. The Planning Commission will be doing a collection at the June meeting.

New Business:

  1. Items from the Board
    1. Many included in the announcements.
    2. Special Use Permit application of Gentner Trucking ("GT"). The State has requested to use GT land as a staging area during their repaving project this summer. It would be for the crushing of material. The length of the project should only be for a few weeks. Discussion. Slight change in the verbiage of application - removed "change from agriculture", and amended to read "a special use/conditional use in an agriculture district."

Old Business:
Don Pennington had contacted Supervisor Marion about scheduling a work session with the Board, Planning Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals. Bohnett mentioned that he has received inquiries about the sliding scale.

Joint meeting with Township Board, Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled for Tuesday, May 29, 2007, 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.

Public Comments:
Citizen mentioned that they very much enjoyed Don Pennington's Presentation at the April 26th meeting.

Question about 425 agreements. Discussion. Potentially, one developer could build everything in the plan.

Girbach was also attending the Saline Sustainability Circle meetings. Each township is asked to have two delegates and an alternate. Laurie Leinbach is currently the only delegate. Their next meeting is June 19 (3rd Tuesday of the month). Various government representatives will be attending. If interested, please contact Laurie or a Township Board member.

Bohnett moved for adjournment, Leinbach support; meeting adjourned, 8:40 p.m. Next regular meeting is June 13, 7:30 pm. A work session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 29, 7:00 p.m. at the Township hall.
